Who is Stephan Knight
Stephan Knight has been named a professional in his profound, complex and challenging sector of work, film production. Spanning nearly over 10 years his depth of knowledge, experience and amount of camera equipment has only grown to the greatest of heights. After leaving his full time job as Defected Records only film man and video producer he has gone onto film and edit music videos, promos, adverts, and live events for TV broadcasters, major record labels and production houses. Yet Stephan believes he is only at the beginning of his career.
He has recently been called the ‘king of festivals’ on a live Sony Pro show where he was being interviewed by Hersha Patel. Subsequently being invited back for a live stream Q&A from the public.
His work so far has spanned over four continents, working with brands such as Bentley, MTV, RedBull, Channel4, BBC, Esquire, Audi and many more. Working with such powerful companies brings working with amazing talent. He has shared many rooms, parks and stages with the likes of Ellie Goulding, Anne-Marie, Nina Kraviz, Andy C, Zane Lowe, Rag’n’Bone Man, James Blake, and Liam Gallagher.
His title the ‘king of festivals’ came from his realisation of the extensive list of festivals and DJs he has filmed in Europe in the last two years of being freelance; Snowbombing, SW4, Boomtown, Lovebox, Wilderness & most recently Tomorrowland to name a few.
It’s clear to say his work is very much fuelled from the music industry, but on the odd occasion he will endeavour his skill set. Diving into projects with political, thought provoking and just simply beautiful cinematography. This has allowed him to connect and build special relationships with people not necessarily from his normal surroundings.
He filmed and edited a short film titled #OMGshesbald which was recognised by fashion magazine, Dazed and most recently has worked with artist IggyLDN on producing his next film Fatherhood.
Spending most of his life so far behind the camera, Stephan has recently put himself in front, sharing his techniques, equipment and advise to the extensive audience of YouTube and as an early adopter to technology you will always have an up-to-date Instagram feed post or story on @stephanknight_ .

Around June 2017 I got invited by Sony Pro Europe to visit their set over at Pine Wood studios and take in part of their 'Sony Pro Show' webinar alongside Toby Lockerbie where I discussed the best way to get the most out of your Super 35mm Sony camera.
