Stephan Knight has been named a professional in his profound, complex and challenging sector of work, film production. Spanning nearly over 8 years his depth of knowledge, experience and amount of camera equipment has only grown to the greatest of heights.
After leaving his full time Video Producer position at Defected Records (back in 2013) he has gone onto film and edit music videos, promos, adverts, and live events for TV broadcasters, major record labels and other well known brands.
He has recently been called the ‘king of festivals’ on a live Sony Pro show where he was being interviewed by Hersha Patel. Subsequently being invited back for a live stream Q&A from the public.
His work so far has spanned over four continents, collaborating on productions with brands such as, Apple Music, MTV, Aston Martin,RedBull, Channel4, BBC, Tommy Hilfiger, Nokia, Audi, VEVO, Arsenal, Puma, Beats By Dre, and many more.
Toward the beginning of his career It’s clear to say his work was very much fuelled from the music industry, but on the odd occasion he will endeavour his skill set. Diving into projects with political, thought provoking and just simply beautiful cinematography. This has allowed him to connect and build special relationships with people not necessarily from his normal surroundings.
He produced a short film titled #OMGshesbald which was recognised by fashion magazine DAZED and most recently has worked with artist IggyLDN on producing his next film Fatherhood.
Being freelance also has many benefits, from catering to smaller niche projects to working within other productions companies as part of a bigger crew. This wide plethora of work has enabled him to adapt to different client needs. As well as himself, he has access to a network of creatives such as; video editors, sound designers, animators, grips, drone operators and location managers, to name a few.
Spending most of his life so far behind the camera, Stephan has recently put himself in front, sharing his techniques, equipment and advise to the extensive audience of YouTube and finally as an early adopter to technology you will always have an up-to-date Instagram feed post or story on adventures on set... follow him @stephanknight_ .
